I am a creative editor and visual storyteller with over 30 years of experience in the film and video industry. My work spans everything from high-end commercials and compelling documentaries to impactful videos for nonprofit organizations. Along the way, my passion for storytelling led me to the VCU Brandcenter, where I was recruited to teach Visual Storytelling at one of the nation’s top advertising and marketing programs. During my time there, I had the privilege of mentoring the next generation of creatives, sharing my expertise in crafting powerful visual narratives. In 2024, I decided to step away from academia and fully immerse myself in my first love—editing and filmmaking. Now, I focus entirely on bringing stories to life through film and video, always looking for new ways to push creative boundaries in post-production.  One area I am leaning into heavily is generative AI for content creation.  I am in the process of finishing a course from Curious Refuge on AI Filmmaking.  I believe that this technology will change the way creatives work in the future, but will still need human, creative minds to really do great work.  I am also a member of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) and a judge for their international competitions. My wife and I live in Waynesboro, Virginia, the gateway to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
